# ConnectPlane external API changelog

This changelog covers the external API contract, SDKs, compatibility,
deprecation, and integration behavior. User-visible changes to the ConnectPlane
portal dashboard are published separately in the
[portal changelog](https://connectplane.com/docs/changelog).

## 2026-10-12 — Lead intake preview correction

- Corrected the pre-production `createLead` contract so requests accepted by the
  public schema are executable by the deployed sales service.
- `Idempotency-Key` is now a required caller-generated UUID and must be reused
  when retrying the same submission. Reusing it with different lead data returns
  `409 conflict` instead of silently accepting a different request.
- Removed `tenant_id` from the public body because the API key is the tenant
  authority. The lead body now requires the eligibility request, status,
  address, place ID, and storefront used to create the lead.

This is an explicitly reviewed correction to the v1 preview baseline before a
production promotion exists. No production API version has been withdrawn.

## 2026-10-11 — Public API v1 preview

- Published the curated commerce, checkout, order, and lead contract.
- Added generated Go and TypeScript clients.
- Added public authentication, versioning, error, and agent-integration guides.
- No existing public operations were deprecated or removed.
